Watercolors

Let's call one of these Decadence and one of them the Fall of Satan, which totally started out as the fall of Icarus but apparently had its own ideas. The first one was done for an illustration class. Watercolors on watercolor paper; also used some charcoal in the second one. Both from 2009.

Millenium Park

Assume the lack of straight lines is because I was being impressionistic about it, not because I was too lazy to use a ruler at the time. Graphite. 2010.

Figure Drawing con't

Two ten poses and one twenty minute one. For class. Charcoal on newsprint, 2010.

More Famous People

Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Cillian Murphy. I sweartagod the fact that all these guys were in Batman was entirely unintentional. Charcoal on Strathmore drawing paper. 2010, 2009, 2009.

A Clockwork Orange

Nonono, the title totally makes sense! Inspired by the book and thematically tied in, if you kind of tilt your head and squint. Watercolor and charcoal on bristol board. 2010.

More Color Portraits

These are all people I know. Ink and watercolor for the first two on bristol board, charcoal and watercolor on drawing paper for the last (which was a bad idea >.>;). All of them are from this year.

Figure Drawing con't

Can't remember much about this model, except that he reminded me an awful lot of Christian Bale in the Machinist. Also for the same class. 2010.

Figure Drawing

Did both of these in a figure drawing class over the summer, and am really sorry I can't remember our model's name. Both pictures are forty minute sketches with charcoal on newsprint. 2010.

Mike

A friend of mine, and one of the earlier charcoal portraits I'd ever done. 2008.

Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss

Took these pictures myself in Paris, at the Louvre. Two different mediums, as well as a horizontal and vertical take at slightly different angles, which I think give it quite a different feel. Charcoal and conte on brown drawing paper for the first and graphite on watercolor paper for the second. 2010 and 2009.

LOL Famous People (AKA not my photos)

Ben Foster, Paul Bettany, and Michael Obiora; better known as that one moderately successful character actor who was in X-Men and 3:10 to Yuma, the crazy monk from the Da Vinci Code and some dude who appeared on one episode of Dr. Who. I chose these more for the feeling and quality of the image than the subject, obviously >.> Charcoal on Strathmore drawing paper. 2008, 2008, 2009, respectively.

Color Portraits

Both of these are watercolor and ink, based on photos of two friends of mine. 2010.

Jester

Totally not based on Harley Quinn at all in any slightly miniscule, copy right-infringing way -.- Charcoal, ink, watercolor on bristol board.

Intrigue

Didn't have a reference picture for this one, which made a change. Light study. Charcoal and watercolor on bristol board. 2010.

Center Court

This was a school assignment, as landscapes are not usually my forte, though I'm definitely working on it. Sharpie on bristol board. 2010.
